This one semester course is directed at involving middle school students into acquiring basic health concepts that will help them maintain healthy behaviors by generating and choosing positive alternatives to risky behaviors.

It aims at presenting and instilling within the teenager, the skills and knowledge to become a problem solver, responsible citizen and a lifelong learner who continues to grow in knowledge by gathering, analyzing, and applying accurate health information that pertains to his/her needs change throughout life.

We will start by discussing what the term health means, how to obtain health knowledge and what might influence our decision to make a healthful choice. In the course of the year, we will focus on the topic of healthy relationships, healthy bodies and healthy environment.
