Elementary School

Welcome to the American Community School Elementary! At ACS, we provide a safe and nurturing environment for children. Parents are welcome at the school and we consider them our partners in the quest to help each child reach his/her full potential.

Our academic program is based on U.S. curriculum and students receive a solid foundation in the basic skills of reading, writing, mathematics, social studies and science. We recognize that not all students learn in the same way and structure our programs and instruction to meet various instructional needs. In addition to the core areas, specialty classes enrich our students' school day. These classes are music, physical education, visual arts, technology, library science and Arabic. After the school day ends, there are opportunities for several kinds of fun activities.

At ACS we believe in setting high expectations for all members of our learning community. In addition to maximizing intellectual growth, we believe all members of the community should uphold the principles of respect and integrity. These concepts are modeled through our daily interactions and explicitly taught in the elementary school's character education program.
