Wellness Program
Our Mission:
To ensure ACS is a Safe place and to have all members of our community; students, faculty, and support staff, dedicated to taking the steps necessary to live a healthy life and reach their optimal performance.
What are we doing?
* A fully equipped health center which takes care of different medical needs
* Screening of vision, hearing, heights and weights for all
* Follow up and well connected health center with all medical centers in town
* First aid and CPR classes for staff during professional development days
* Complete physical for drivers including vision and hearing treatments
* Physical check up for new teachers
* Bus drivers trained under Smart Drivers
* Bus drivers certified First Aid and CPR
* First aid and referrals is extended to cover after school activities
What will we be doing?
* Become a site affiliated with American Heart Association, through King Hussein Cancer Center to train and certify our community on first aid and CPR
* Health Center connected to different institutions
- Hospitals
- Specialists
- Nutrition Centers
- Gyms
* Providing panel discussions and informative sessions to parents and school according to the required subjects by school community
* Create a blog where we can provide information to our community as well as keep channels of communication open to satisfy their needs.
* Internist available Tuesdays from 2-4 PM
- Give physicals for students
- Check on health of faculty and staff
- Provide flu shots upon request
* Titmus Machine : Allows nurse to check vision; color vision and astigmatism
