History of ACS
The school was first started in September, 1955, and was located in a private home.
In 1957 the American Community Organization was formed, and on September 16 of that year the school opened in a rented building with a principal-teacher and two other teachers.


Twenty children were enrolled. The school gradually expanded, and in 1965 it was moved to its present location. At first the s chool building consisted of five classrooms, a library, offices and a multi-purpose room.


Today there are forty-four classrooms, a full library, three science labs, two computer labs, a sports and cultural center, three music rooms, and facilities for fine arts education.
